the harvest moon "中秋の名月"

In Japan, it was hot till recently, but now it is getting cooler at the morning and the night.

Today's theme is the harvest moon that is called "Chushu no Meigetsu (中秋の名月)" in Japanese. .

"Chushu" means the mid-autumn, and "Meigetsu" is the bright and beautiful moon. That is because in the mid-autumn of the lunar calendar the moon would be seen so beautiful.

In the past, the bright moon was the big help with farmers harvesting crops. Hence people call it as the name of "Harvest Moon".

We can watch it at the night of September 19th this year.

It will be a full moon also!!

You must watch the most beautiful one.
